BERAS International is a foundation working to bring regenerative thinking into how farmers, public actors, businesses and civil society manage food and land together. We take part in EU-funded and other international projects as a partner, or as an expert others turn to.
We believe soil is not a resource to be used, but a living system to be renewed. A farm that takes from the ground without giving back is borrowing against the future. That is why we work for regenerative agriculture: land that grows more fertile the longer it is farmed, not less.
We believe food should nourish people and the planet simultaneously. What we grow, how we grow it, and what ends up on a plate are not separate questions. They are one system, and every choice within it has weight. A sustainable diet is not a sacrifice; it is a better design.
